Buffalo River State Trail - Fairchild To Osseo, WI
This was a great trip, A "warm" day, By Northern Wisconsin standards, in the 40s, great day for a ride!
This is the Buffalo River State Trail Between Fairchild, WI & Osseo, WI Great, flat, very well maintained trail, (Old Railroad Bed) overall about 40 miles from Fairchild, WI to Mondovi. This trail does connect to the Clark and Jackson County systems, about 500 miles of trails between all counties involved.
Unfortunately, I didn't get too many photos, only one. Only problem driving this trail during winter is a shared trail with snowmobilers and they were not very happy with me travelling as slow as i was.
Of note, This trail is multi-purpose, meaning you will see a vaiety of modes of transport from atvs to walkers to horses. Reminder, you must shut-down your vehicle to passing horses, as to not spook them.
Overall, fun trail, beautiful in Winter! Great towns to visit and plenty of food along the way.
The trail was open year-round at the time of this trip, weather permitting.
