Here we have the Keweenaw Peninsula Trails, Specifically Lac La Belle area trail up to Copper Harbor. I camped at the Wilderness Resort Campground in Lac La Belle, Michigan.
First, Lets discuss the trails, wow, The Keweenaw Peninsula is amazingly beautiful area, It's everything i could ask for, maintained trails, scenery, Lake Superior views and towns to stop for fuel and food. There are not a lot of trails, north of Houghton Maybe 100 miles or so. That said, They are some of the best i've been on. This area is so sparsely populated that it feels like you are in the middle of nowhere. Fresh air... I can't say enough good things about this area, just wish there were more trails.
The Wilderness Resort Campground is equally fantastic! This campground is small, only 15 sites and tight to maneuver in but very well maintained and the facilities are top notch! Absolutely one of the best campgrounds i'be stayed at. The owners are also fantastic and very helpful. Just an all around fantastic experience.
