Marinette County is still one of my favorite systems in the State of Wisconsin. A wide variety of terrain and very photogenic area. Lots of Waterfalls and pristine parks! You can not help but stop and take photos!
Strong Falls park along the trail, wow, so peaceful and well worth the side trip. Trail to waterfall is only 5 min out of the way. Please note, there is a small fee ($5 at the time).
Trail system is very well maintained by county and local clubs, This is one of the greatest advantages that I have found over the years. The areas that have local clubs to maintain the trails are hands down the best maintained. I have ventured to various parts of the country and different systems and have found that to be true.
To be fair, we are talking about off-roading, but, it is nice once and a while to not have a trail not be so jarring!
This is the closest legitimate trail system to the major metro areas of Wisconsin, besides Cheese State Trail, so it does get busy at times.
Again, this trail system is massive and goes through so many small towns with services and shops.
