Very large parking / Trailhead area in the City of Monroe, WI
This time around, I needed a quick ride, due to work, Cheese State Trail fit the bill... It's a short trail, under 100 miles, the system meanders through the country-side in several Southwestern Wisconsin counties. Don't get me wrong, you could stay here for a weekend or more if you wanted, lots to do near the trail, in these small towns from fuel to food and shops.
This is kind of a unique trail system for Wisconsin, in that there are many old rail road era bridges still intact that you can drive over, like the one pictured above. Really neat.
